| i think im finally beginning to settle into college life.
this weekend went to Alhambra to visit some people that i play FFXI
with and it was hella fun. went to Knottsberry Farm and went on
some rollercoasters, did some movie hopping, and of course, played lots
of video games lol. had a nice ribeye steak that they charged
waaay too much for and overcooked, but hey, its still a ribeye.
bleh, writers' block right now. this is definitely one of my most choppy posts ever.
going to dinner then gym then shopping then work (yay.)
hmm, its recently been brought to my attention that i need a new pic...maybe ill do something about that soon.

| well since i had no internet in Tahoe, this is a little late, buuuuut....
Jan. 5th~~
*sigh* another bday gone. "big" 1-9. drank a lot,
discovered that "double shots" completely wreck me. 10-11 drinks
is my limit. Applebee's has gewd steaks
Jan. 6th~~
snowboarding is reaffirmed as the greatest sport ever. drove back to Los Altos
Jan. 7th~~
drove to LA, long ass drive. im already missing everyone back home.
that was the terse version of my last week of break. luckily, it was a lot more fun than im making it seem lol.

| yesterday was just...wow. i dont think i would be so happy to see
all of my friends from ECYS again. it was just an amazing
experience, so many memories, so many good times. i guess i didnt
really realize how much i missed ECYS until yesterday.
its great to be back in the bay area...
let the good times roll

| lol so here i am posting my one entry for the month (it seems i only
have inspiration to write about that often) so... *deep breath*
here goes.
so after our stunning victory over Stanford in OT last night, i was
thinking to myself how stressful it is to be a football fan for an
undefeated 8-0 UCLA team (Go Bruins!). I look back on every
single one of our victories since we've been at school (count 'em,
theres 5 of em), and since Oregon St. was some strange anomaly where we
just happened to be clicking all game, and all i see is comeback
victories in the waning seconds of the 4th quarter. Its starting
to get ridiculous how close we cut things now. At least in
previous weeks we've spent the 3rd AND 4th quarter building up our
comeback but last night...we had to wait until the final 8 minutes
before finally deciding to turn it on. next week, if we wait
until the final 5 minutes to score 3 touchdowns i think im going to
have a cardiac arrest...these guys are seriously not doing any favors
for my heart -_-;;
luckily for me, with the extreme ups and downs of the football team
putting all the strain my mind and body can take, school has been
relatively simple up until now. i have ridiculous amounts of free
time...partially due to savvy scheduling on my part, but mainly due to
the fact that math and science courses dont involve all that much
outside work (a fact that i did not know when i signed up for my
classes).
wow, halfway through this and i suddenly lost all my momentum...well, i
guess ill just have to end here, have a good month everyone

| So...here i am at UCLA ^_^
just finished up week 0 of classes, and thus far i must say it has been
freaking easy, and its not because i purposely chose easy classes or
anything.
Schedule:
Math32A, Multivariable Calculus (woohoo >.>)
Chem20A, Chemical Structures (yay?)
GE Cluster, Evolution of the Cosmos and Life (w00t!)
so, as you can see, its not like im taking some crazy easy class
like...oh, i dunno...history of rock and roll (yes, it is a class
offered at UCLA). the problem is chem20A seems to just be a
review of chem AP...so i dont see it getting that tough. math32A
is well...its too early to say yet, but everyone knows i like math, so
it should be okay. and the GE cluster i took because i wanted to
learn the material offered within the course, and not just take a class
to fulfill my GE requirements...the problem with this is because of my
previous interest in space and shit, i already know like half the
material...
so yeah, fun fun...lots of events going on for us first-years, lots of
chances to meet new, exciting people. today we have the football
against washington at the Rose Bowl, so thats going to be awesome.
Westwood is like...the best place ever. It has anything and
everything you could ever need, plus there are movie premiers and
stuff, so you could actually see stars walking down the red carpet on
opening night for their movies. Plus, the ASUCLA puts on free
sneak previews of soon-to-be-released movies. For example, in
this past week we've had the opportunity to see "In Her Shoes" and
"Into the Blue", absolutely free, and a couple days before they came
out in theaters.
Oh god, i can't talk about UCLA and its good points without talking
about the food. all i can say is the food is pretty damn
good. we're not talking about the classic, mass-produced tub of
eggs or giant vat of corned or something, we're talking about wok-stir
fried cashew chicken, or hand made sushi, made to order hamburgers,
burritos, udon bowls. its amazing how much variety there is and
(almost) everything is extremely tasty.
"And that's all i have to say about that."
~come visit me
-----*Edit*-----
oops, forgot to mention that it's Rose's bday today
HAPPY 18th BIRFDAY!
